The Mario-esque plot is quite thin, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. In Tiny Thief, you control a thief (known only as Tiny Thief) in a medieval adventure who sets out with his ferret companion to save a princess and live happily ever after.

It’s not all bleak, though – out of the chaos comes Tiny Thief, a point-and-click stealth platformer from developer 5 Ants from Barcelona publishing through Rovio Stars Ltd. This free-for-all environment allows for unscrupulous apps to transform your smartphone or tablet into a puny pilferer. Often these games are unfinished, and it’s the player that suffers. The entertainment value of many games has been lost amidst greedy investors and developers looking to squeeze money from consumers by inundating us with ads or forcing us to pay extra money in-app purchases.

For every classic game (i.e Dead Trigger), there’s a dozen clones.

But beware! He faces fearsome foes, like the Dark Knight, rogue pirates and even a giant robot! The solving of puzzles normally requires stealth, meaning that if a guard sees the Thief, the level will restart in a certain point. In a world of greed, corruption and injustice, one little guy decides to stand up for the little guy! Say hello to Tiny Thief, an unconventional hero who uses cunning and trickery to out-smart his opponents across six epic medieval adventures. The story of Tiny Thief follows a childlike Robin Hood, that steals from enemies such as the corrupt sheriff, pirates, and stingy bakers. It is set in a vaguely medieval period, though robots and lasers can be found.

Tiny Thief is a point and click adventure game that is part of the publisher Rovio Entertainment’s Rovio Stars program.
